For this Photoshop assignment, we will be colorizing our own photography. You'll do this by creating a new layer for each color and playing around with the blending options for the layer OR using layer masks. Experiment until you find something you like!
Save each photograph as a .jpeg and upload it into the Group File. Name your image as such: yourname.photograph# [ex: aborleis.photograph1]

1. Using Layer Masks
The following tutorial will teach you how to use Layer Masks to isolate color. Use this tutorial to create 1 image, isolating color that already exists in a photograph (preferable one of your own!).
2. The Entire Image
Using the Photoshop techniques (layer masks, new layers set to different modes, etc), color your ENTIRE image from film. If you don't have a good photo to colorize, you will need to scan it in. Use any film roll you've shot so far this year or last.
3. Color Isolation
Using the photoshop techniques, selectively colorize your photograph. Be smart about it. You are creating an emphasis for the eye to be drawn to. Do not color a random object or thing in the photo just to do it. Why are you coloring it? It must have a good compositional purpose.
4. Coloring History
You will find an image that you like and can download from the Library of Congress Collection.
You can look up anything! Find an image you like and download a good sized TIFF file and using the same photoshop techniques, colorize the image.
